I sold an excellent Family Guy on Ebay recently and was charged $500, plus $143 for Paypal. Ebay IMHO used to be a place where the little guy, independent sellers, could compete and make sales with everyone else on a level playing field. I totally agree with silver_spinner and ejg10532626 and others here. "AVOID FLEABAY-it's just a screw-job every which way.ĭoes nothing but aggravate the good collectors of our hobby." unless buyer pays with cash in person or you convince buyer to pay via money order or check etc." I only paid $1,000 for my Maverick two years ago and it is in better shape then the ones on eBay.yet I know mine is not worth $2,750 like the ones there are priced at. I mean even DE games like Maverick, Baywatch and Tommy (I have all three) have prices of $2,750 up to $3.500. Well that explains why every time I look at pins on eBay they seem high. epay sees more people and seller nets less money.įigure in (Minus) the ebay fees and paypal THEN make your asking price from that NET price on here or another place that gets no fees. Now that Max was raised to $750.thats a big frickin chunk.Ī problem i see if people see a sold price on ebay then try to post on here or craigslist for the same. unless buyer pays with cash in person or you convince buyer to pay via money order or check etc.Įbays prior max was $250 which is fine on a high dollar game. that is the overall consensusĮbays fees have tripled. I really hesitate when selling a high priced item like a pin on ebay. running a small ebay type of business was a HUGE mistake. buyer protection allows them to steal people's money, for the seller buyer protection is terrible and you arent even allowed to leave negative feedback anymore for a thief. probably close to 1/2 of them are downright thieves. expecting a $10 or $15 item to replaced after weeks or even over a month of use. buyers are terrible, they claim things are defective even when you tested the item prior to shipment and you know it was working when it left your possession, also expecting un-reasonable demands. I really hate selling on ebay, i have sold on ebay as a small business and its a bad game. im going to give it a little more time on craigslist and here on pinside at $1,600 before i take further action, but im considering selling on ebay as i last resort. i recently bought another pin so now its time to part ways. i reposted if anyone wants to check it out. pinball classifieds for over a year now and has been here on pinside once. it has been posted on craiglist twice for $2,000 OBO and now its on craigslist for $1,600 FIRM still no calls. So i have a nice WWF royal rumble and it seems that no one wants this game, its proving to be a very difficult game to sell and i think it has allot to do with theme.
